Established in 1948, Farnworth Little Theatre is an amateur theatre group situated just outside Bolton. Our first full length play 'Night Must Fall', was presented in 1949, and since then we have offered a continuous programme of up to five full length productions a year.

We are totally self-supporting, financing the running and upkeep of the theatre through box office takings, membership fees, charitable donations and regular fund-raising events.

The theatre is run by volunteers and therefore offers many opportunities for people of all ages to get involved in a range of activities, from acting to wardrobe, lighting and sound to publicity and set-building.

We have a thriving Youth Group for 11-18 year olds who also participate in many of the wider activities of the theatre.

Further Information: Farnworth Little Theatre is a member of Bolton Amateur Theatre Societies, the Greater Manchester Drama Federation and The Little Theatre Guild of Great Britain.
Getting There: From Bolton: exit A666 (St. Peter's Way) on to A575 / A6053, Bolton Rd./ Market St.(signposted FARNWORTH); go through 3 sets of traffic lights then turn right into Queen St.(at the Queen Victoria pub); Cross St.is on the left up this road.From Walkden: follow A575 on to Albert Rd and turn right into Queen St. just after ASDA and the Fire Station. Cross St. is on the right.From Manchester and South: from the M60 follow M61 Bolton / Preston signs then A666; exit at A6053 (Kearsley) junction; take the first exit at the roundabout and go straight through the lights on to Market St. At the next lights turn left on to King St.; Cross St. is on your right by the Britannia pub.
