Bolton Little Theatre, established in 1931, is an amateur group with charity status and relies on box office takings, membership fees and charitable donations to pay for the upkeep of the Theatre. Bolton Little Theatre presents at least seven full length productions a year as well as "touring" some of its productions.
The main proscenium arch auditorium seats 165 in traditional rows and the Forge, an intimate theatre in the round has seating for 60. The theatre has a comfortable bar and exhibition area where one can enjoy a pre- performance drink, or mingle with the cast after the show.
The theatre is a member of the Greater Manchester Drama Federation and The Little Theatre Guild of Great Britain.
