The 54th Bournemouth Open Amateur Golf Tournament is run by the Bournemouth Association of Golf Clubs in association with the Borough of Bournemouth Local Authority & takes place during the first full week of June each year. It hosts an entire week of golfing tournaments that are steeped in history and unique in Amateur Golf.
The tournament is open to all amateur golfers and draws visitors from across the country. Competitions are played at both Queens Park and Meyrick Park, with the 72 Hole Championship played over 4 days, with 2 days on each course.
The week offers a comprehensive range of both single, pairs and mixed events for all handicap ranges. Both golf courses are set in mature woodlands and offer quite different challenges to the golfer. A popular approach is to enter competitions that enable you to enjoy both venues.
Why not take a holiday in Bournemouth to coincide with the tournament and enjoy a week of competitive golf in a premier seaside resort?
