Newtonmore, a traditional highland village, is located in the Cairngorms National Park in some of the finest scenery in Scotland.
The hostel provides a perfect base for exploring the Park and the surrounding area and sits just off the Main Street, at the rear of Craigellachie House. Purpose built, it has 3 bedrooms and sleeps a maximum of 14. The two larger bedrooms each sleep up to six on sleeping platforms. There are 3 showers, 3 toilets, a drying room, plenty of hot water, a fully equipped kitchen, electric central heating and a lounge/dining area with a wood burning stove.
The Hostel is well placed for outdoor pursuits, field studies or less strenuous activities. The Lochs and Glens National Cycle Route (Glasgow to Inverness) passes the door, as does the Coast to Coast Mountain Bike Route (Kintail to Montrose). Shops are close by (100 yards) and local hotels serve excellent bar meals.
