We let privately owned Oxwich Leisure Park chalets and a Gower Holiday Village bungalow for holidays on the beautiful Gower Peninsular.

The Gower Peninsular, which is about 18 miles long and 5 miles wide, was the first place in Britain to be designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1956.

There is so much variety in this small, but perfectly formed peninsular, which includes some of Europe's most spectacular scenery and enchanting countryside. With mysterious castles, quaint little villages, and small hidden coves once used by smugglers, it is a land of legends and prehistoric secrets, visibly reflecting the epitome of Celtic beauty and charm, long forgotten elsewhere.

There are over a dozen beautiful bays, ranging from the gentle bathing beaches of Oxwich, Horton and Port Eynon to the surfing venues of Rhosilli Bay.

Getting There: FROM ENGLAND Follow the M4 Motorway to Junction 42, then take the A483 to Swansea. You see will then see the Brown Tourist Signs for Gower. Follow those onto the A4118, which will take you across Fairwood Common, then South towards the coast. For Oxwich Leisure Park: After the village of Nicholaston, turn left to Oxwich (by a ruined castle lodge) and follow this small winding road down to the cross roads in Oxwich. Turn right, and after about 500 meters you will see the entrance to Oxwich Leisure Park on your left, opposite the campsite. For the Gower Holiday Village: After Nicholaston, stay on the A4118, go past Knelston Petrol Station for about 1 mile, then turn right into Scurlage where you will see signs to the Gower Holiday Village, which is on your left after 50 meters.
Further Information: There is a very good local bus service to Mumbles and Swansea from the Gower Holiday Village at Scurlage, and the village of Oxwich. You can also board the Gower Circular bus, which calls at most Gower villages, to take a tour of the area and give your driver a rest for the day. It is also possible to hire bycycles for all ages, which would provide you with transport to many places you would not be able to reach by car.
