The fishing in North Wales must be some of the finest in the British Isles, for many of the rivers and lakes are within the Snowdonia National Park.
Bodelwyddan Game Anglers are very fortunate have limited control of some of these waters; rivers include the River Conwy with its salmon and sea trout, the River Cledwen which holds real wild brown trout - the specialists dream with rod and fly. Then we have the river Elwy, which must be one of the best rivers around for sea trout, or sewin as is it known locally; night fishing is always the best time for this quarry, from June onwards given the right amount of rain fall.
Anglers are reminded you must have E A licence which gives you the right to use a fishing rod and line, but does not give you the right to fish. You must always check that you have the permit to fish that particular water.
