Riverside is a small, friendly site, for caravans and tents, in the village of Onehouse, 2 miles from Stowmarket.

The camp site has gravelled car parking, and a large grassed area for caravans and tents. The electrical hook up and water standpipes are located around the perimeter of the camp area. Many of our visitors are regulars who return month after month, year after year.

There are toilet facilities and an on-site van operates from Easter until October or November, with varied opening times. This provides snacks, hot and cold drinks, and fast food.

The site also has a fishing lake containing a variety of coarse fish. Tickets are available at the bank. Standard rules apply e.g. rod licence, barbless hooks, although in addition, we do not permit the use of ground bait. The lake attracts many fisherman from nearby Ipswich.

The site owner, Pauline, is often found chatting with visitors, followed by her constant companion, Candy, a friendly Alsatian dog.

Getting There: Leaving A14 at junction 50, pass the Cedar Parks superstore (Tesco) as you travel to Stowmarket. At next traffic lights, turn right. At roundabout, 2nd exit to Coomb Ford. At mini roundabout with Esso garage on right, straight over, left hand corner (No entry to right) Mini roundabout, turn right. End of road turn right, over bridge, after right hand corner the site is on right hand side.
Further Information: Open All Year. This friendly site, for camping and fishing, is easily accessible for the disabled. Water, electricity and toilet facilities. Onsite catering van. Children and pets are welcome. Ample Car Parking Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds, with their associated entertainments, are within easy driving distance, being 14 miles away.

I fished the bank of riverside as it seemed to look a very fishy swim I casted my fist rod out to the far bank. I waited... I saw a fish top so I put a bait on it 5 mins later, I have my first fish 3 lb common after this it went a little quiet, but in the morning my other buzzer took scream with a 10-15 min scrap I had myself a 20lb 1 oz perfect condition common get in!
