PamperMePet was founded by Roisin Murphy in April 2004. Roisin was motivated to start her business whilst visiting friends in Atlanta, USA where she realised that there was a massive gap in the pet accessories market in the UK, compared to the availability of such beautiful products and accessories for dogs and cats in the USA. Realising this niche and with her American contacts, PamperMePet was born.

The name PamperMePet was thought up by her daughter Kelli and is fitting for the wonderful cat and dog accessories being offered for your pampered pets. Roisin tested the UK market at various shows which included the London Soho Pride, Brighton Pride and the Wag and Bone Show to mention a few. This was a huge success and in November 2004, PamperMePet the retail store and grooming salon opened in the Imperial Arcade, Churchill Square which is in the town centre area of Brighton.
