Situated in Brighton's historic North Laine, The Workshop Pottery is well known locally for its colourful range of hand made earthenware ceramics, made on the premises by Peter Stocker.
Having started in Brighton's Open Market in 1979 the Workshop moved to its present shop at 94 Trafalgar Street in 1981. Most days Peter can be seen throwing in the shop or working on commissions. Recent commissions include house number plates, dinner services and "one off" mugs as well as a complete mosaic fireplace!
Peter and his wife Sally also work with local schools and business on a variety of exciting projects as well as running classes at the Workshop.
In 2004 after complete re-furbishment the shop became North Laine Ceramics and is still home to The Workshop Pottery but also hosts small exhibitions of other artist's work. including other ceramics.
