Quiet country village pub serving very good food and wine, and boasting an extensive range of beers. We specialise in fish/seafood - cooking fresh local produce with an Italian accent.
You are likely to find oysters, risottos, Romney Marsh lamb, home-baked bread and desserts, including pannacotta and tiramisu, as well as constantly changing fish dishes. Look out for the marinated Skate fillets with artichokes. Gluten-free dishes+vegetarian +vegan dishes available.
The restaurant oozes ambience, with antique furniture and relaxing, romantic atmosphere. The service at your table will be as good as is found on the continent. We also allow no standing to order at the bar - table service only, so as you can relax and enjoy your meal whilst being waited on!
The Tufton Bailiffehouse was converted from Ashford's most notorious pub - 'The Thanet Arms', which was also formerly the 'Olde Kings Head'. Our large garden just opened in July 2005, and there is also adequate parking
