Mike Rowland Blue Badge Guide

I am a member of the Institute of Tourist Guiding and of the Guild of Registered Tourist Guides (Bristol & Bath Region). In layman's terms this means I am about as qualified a tourist guide as you can get ! As a retired Police Inspector I have lived and worked in the Bristol and Bath areas for more than 35 years so I think I have a pretty good handle on what visitors want to see and do while they are here.

My 'day job' is manager for Visitor Services at the Clifton Suspension Bridge, the world-famous symbol of the city of Bristol. However I am more or less my own boss there and I also work as a freelance guide conducting guided tours by coach and on open-top buses, and leading guided walks. I have an informative but light-hearted style of guiding - I want us all to have some fun and enjoy your visit here.

Suggested walking tours include Maritime Bristol, American Bristol , Georgian Clifton, Brunel's Bristol, Roman and Georgian Bath but any of my tours and walks can be themed or
