One of the premiere independent retailers of specialist Outdoor clothing and equipment in the North East of England.

Established in 1982 by our managing director Stuart Balaam Outdoor World has always striven to offer the very highest standards of customer service, a wide range of clothing and equipment from some of the best outdoor brands, and to give down to earth impartial advice.

In 1984 Dave Browning joined the company and is now the manager he is also treasurer of Northumberland National Park Search and Rescue Team with whom Outdoor World have developed a strong working relationship and supplied them with clothing and equipment over the last 20 years.

In 2002 Outdoor World won runner up in the retailer of the year awards for North Tyneside which happened to coincide with our 20th anniversary.

In 2003 James Balaam joined the Outdoor World team to manage and develop our company website.
