Built in the early 17th century, Blickling is one of England's great Jacobean houses. The spectacular Long Gallery now houses one of the finest private collections of rare books in England. Also on display are fine Mortlake tapestries depicting the stories of Abraham, intricate plasterwork ceilings and a fine collection of furniture and paintings from various periods.
The Hall is set in an historic parklands which was landscaped during the eighteenth century. Attractions of the 22-hectare garden include the parterre, 18th-century Orangery, a secret garden and woodland dell.
Blickling estate is a lively community, an active National Trust property and a place of many different opportunities for education and entertainment. Blickling is also a spectacular venue for weddings and functions.
