The Albert Dock is a truly stunning architectural triumph. Opened in 1846, it soon became a treasure house of precious cargoes from all over the world. Today redevelopment, costing in excess of £100 million, has transformed it into one of Liverpool's busiest and most cosmopolitan centres and a top World Heritage attraction.
The Dock is also now a mecca for tourists, with lots of shops, restaurants and bars to tempt you. In addition to these, this is where you will find some of Liverpool's premier tourist attractions, for example the Merseyside Maritime Museum, the Tate Gallery Liverpool, the Museum of Liverpool Life and The Beatles Story.
