Buckinghamshire Railway Centre is a working steam museum where you can step back in time as you stroll amongst the giants of the steam age displayed at its spacious 25 acre site. The Centre boasts one of the largest private railway collections in the country with many steam locomotives from express passenger types to humble shunting engines, as well as numerous intersting items of rolling stock. These include a coach from the Royal Train of 1901 and another used by Winston Churchill and General Eisenhower for wartime planning meetings.
On steaming open days visitors can take rides in vintage carriages pulled by full sized steam engines and also ride on ur extensive miniature railway system. On certain days you can get closer to theaction with a ride in open wagons for the really authentic atmosphere of the steam age.
