Bure Valley Railway

The Bure Valley Railway is a 15" gauge railway which operates both Steam and Diesel trains over the nine miles between the historic market town of Aylsham and the 'Capital of the Broads' at Wroxham. Details for 2007 - Trains run daily from March 31st to September 30th, as well as the local spring (Feburary 10-18) and Autumn (October 20-28) half term breaks, plus weekends in March and October. A combined train and cruise ticket is also available which includes not only a return train journey from Aylsham but an hour and a half cruise around the Norfolk Broads. (Advanced booking essential.) For an ideal present for a relative or loved one, we also operate 'Steam Locomotive Experience' courses which enable the recipient to drive one of our powerful steam locomotives. During December we also operate our Santa Special trains and after Christmas our Mince pie specials. Prices vary depending on travel requirements and number of people in your group.
