This wonderful Hawksmoor church has been restored to its 18th century glory and reopened its doors to the public in September 2004. It stands as one of the finest examples of baroque architecture in Britain and has been described as the best building in London.
Christ Church is the size of a small cathedral. Inside, it reaches to the height of Exeter Cathedral and its entire volume is half that of the nave of St Paul?s. Only by visiting this church and walking around it will you be able to appreciate Hawksmoor's use of light and volume, his flair for design and his unique feel for the eloquence of stone.
