Ullswater and Aira Force

Dramatic walks around Aira Force waterfall, renowned in Victorian times as a beauty spot, provide one of the highlights of the Trust's ownership in the valley.

This totals 5,242 hectares (13,000 acres) of fell and woodland, and four farms (including Glencoyne, the largest). There is access to parts of Brotherswater and Ullswater, site of Wordsworth's famous daffodils.
