The Natural History Museum is the UK's national museum of natural history, and a centre of scientific excellence in taxonomy and biodiversity. Their mission is to maintain and develop its collections, using them to promote the discovery, understanding, responsible use and enjoyment of the natural world.
The Central Hall itself is a magnificent sight, with its intricately painted ceiling and terracotta animals and plants. Not to mention the site of coming face to face with a complete skeleton of a Diplodocus looming above you!
Home to some of the most amazing specimens and galleries, with touchscreens and interactive displays in a variety of languages. This museum is a delight to walk around, discover and explore the wonders of the natural world among amazing architecture in this wonderful place.
