The Museum of Eton Life tells the story of the foundation of the College in 1440 and provides a glimpse into the world of the Eton schoolboy past and present.

Find out about work, games (including the famous Eton Wall Game) and some of the colourful customs of the past. Discover well-known Old Etonians, from poets to Prime Ministers. A visit to the museum is a perfect way to bring to life the college buildings you see around you.

Eton College, founded in 1440 by King Henry VI, is one of the oldest schools in the country. Its historic buildings are an integral part of the national heritage and it is with great pleasure that we invite visitors to experience and share the beauty and traditions of the College. We would ask visitors, however, to recognize the fact that this is a residential academic establishment and not primarily a tourist attraction, and to respect the privacy of those who live and work here.
