At Pendon Museum visitors can enjoy, in detailed and colourful miniature, scenes showing the beauty of the English countryside as it was in the mid 1900's. Realistically modelled cottages, farms, fields and lanes recall the peaceful country ways of that period. Cavalcades of trains, accurately represented, provide a fascinating record of the railways of the time.

Pendon Museum is situated in the village of Long Wittenham, near Didcot in Oxfordshire. Two pubs in the village offer excellent lunches, and the village also has a small shop selling a variety of interesting books and other items, as well as light refreshments.

Getting There: Pendon Museum is approximately 8 miles from Oxford, and 5 miles from Abingdon in the village of Long Wittenham. You will find brown tourist signs which direct you to the Museum as you get closer. The Museum's grid reference is SU542936. We have a small car park for visitors, but please only use this while you are in the Museum itself. If the car park is full, please park with consideration for village residents.
Further Information: Didcot is the nearest major railway station, with frequent trains from London, the West Country, Wales, the Midlands, and the North. Several taxi firms operate from the station and will bring you to the Museum.
