A new city centre gallery is open while the Museum's wonderful Victorian building on Queen Street is closed until 2011 for a £15million programme of modernisation and transformation. RAMM in the Library is its city centre home during the refurbishment. The gallery captures the essence of RAMM with an exhibition of choice items from the collections and has a space for family activities. It is an ideal place for family visits and to catch up with news of RAMM's redevelopment and the wide ranging Out & About programme of events and exhibitions. RAMM holds collections of local, national and international importance and is renowned for its lively exhibitions and events programme. Collections include Natural History, Ethnography, Archaeology, Decorative Arts, Fine Art and Local History.

Awards: The Investing in Volunteers quality standard was awarded in 2007. In 2007 Exeter City Council was awarded a Charter Mark for its Community and Environment Department, which includes RAMM. In 2006 the quality of RAMM's schools programme and its commitment to lifelong learning was recognised with a prestigious Sandford Award for Heritage Education. Exeter City Council and RAMM subscribe to the Investors in People Standard.
