The Helicopter Museum is Weston-super-Mare's largest undercover all weather attraction and a fun place for all the family, with a coffee shop, children's play area and a gift shop.

The Helicopter Museum not only conserves full size helicopters but also has an extensive collection of all associated literature, manuals and artifacts. The museum also has a collection of literature, audio visual material and memorabilia which, when funds allow in the future, will form a world class rotary wing historical research facility at the museum.

If you have any material you wish to donate to The Helicopter Museum we can usually arrange collection, and the Helicopter Museum will preserve material you donate for future generations to enjoy and appreciate.

Further Information
The origins of the Helicopter Museum goes back to 1958, when the founder, aviation writer/historian Elfan ap Rees, began to build up a private collection of rotorcraft documentation and artifacts. Over the next 10 years his collection grew and in 1969 he acquired his first complete helicopter, a Bristol Sycamore Mk.3.
