Paradise Mill

Paradise Mill, situated a short distance from the silk museum, was a working silk mill until 1981. Today, Paradise Mill is a living museum. The jacquard handlooms have been restored and knowledgeable and entertaining guides demonstrate the intricate production processes. Exhibitions and room settings illustrate life in Paradise Mill in the 1930's.

The mill is now used by several firms and the top floor, where the unique collection of jacquard handlooms are situated, is a working silk museum.
