Located in southwest London, the Wimbledon Museum contains one of the world's greatest collections of tennis memorabilia, with the oldest exhibit dating from 1555. Many items are of immense historical importance and some, not least the Championship Trophies, are unique.
There are views of Centre Court, an Art Gallery, and a new audio-visual theatre which allows people to experience great matches once again. The Museum also reflects the current game, the champions of today, and hopes to excite the interest of the champions of tomorrow.
The new behind-the-scenes tour is led by blue-badge guides, and includes Centre and No.1 Courts, as well as the Millennium Building and Press Interview Room which are out of bounds during The Championships. There are daily departures for individuals (please call for timings) and for groups, tours are available at any time provided they are pre-booked.
