The story of Wales from earliest times is illustrated in the main building of the National Museum of Wales. It is unique among British museums and galleries for its range of art and science displays. The Galleries provide magnificent settings for works by some of the world's most famous artists, including the Impressionists.

The new Glanely Gallery is a hands-on interactive area with state of the art equipment to help you examine items from the Museum's collections that are normally hidden away, as well as hosting special events and talks.

'The Evolution of Wales' exhibition takes you on a spectacular 4600 million year journey of Wales through the world from the very beginning of time to the present day. In the 'Natural History in Wales', you can see birds, animals and plants at the seashore, and visit woods in the summer and winter.
