Newark Lodge guest house is located just over a mile from Newark town centre and less than a quarter of a mile from the A1 motorway., on a quiet road with secure full off-street parking and a picturesque garden where you may relax, weather permitting!

The Lodge dates back to the late 17th century and has all the charm of a Tudor house with fantastic old ship's timbers used in the construction.

Sheila and Mike Spratt, who have been hoteliers all their working lives, welcome you to the comfort of this fine house where you will receive professional and friendly attention.

The bedrooms, doubles and singles, are all en-suite, with colour TV, trouser press, hospitality, hairdryer and are non-smoking. Breakfasts are cooked to order and are served in the splendour of the lounge dining room overlooking the fine inglenook fireplace and wealth of beams.

Local Area: The town of Newark located on the river Trent is steeped in history with such names as Charles the 1st, Lord Byron and King John just to mention a few. Newark hosts the largest Antiques Fair in Western Europe with some 3000 stalls. People come from all over the world to attend the Fairs 6 times a year. Nearby are Southwell and Lincoln both boasting very fine cathederals dating back to Norman times.
