The Arches is a very friendly, family run guesthouse, which prides itself on cleanliness, a warm welcome and large breakfast. Centrally located within Whitby?s West Cliff Conservation Area, The Arches is close to all amenities and attractions. A five minute stroll will take you to the centre of town and the sea front is just a minute?s walk. This is the ideal base for experiencing the old world charms of this historic seaside town, whose tranquil and pleasant atmosphere guarantees rest and relaxation.

A choice of comfortable, mainly en-suite, double, family, twin and single rooms cater for most guests? requirements. All rooms are centrally heated, have colour televisions, hospitality trays, hair dryers and radio alarm clocks. A Travel Cot and high chair, as well as ironing facilities are available.

This is because there are 5 steps to access the building, which unfortunately makes it difficult for wheel chair bound visitors.
Getting There: From the North and West: follow the "West Cliff Car Park" signs. Turn right onto Crescent Avenue, turn left onto Hudson St, pink building on righthand side at bottom of street. From the south, phone for directions.
