Bucks House is a beautiful Grade II listed house built in 1510 that now offers every luxury to guests visiting family, attending a wedding or on business. We are sure you will enjoy staying in our wonderful house

All our rooms are comfortably furnished with antique furniture, good quality beds and summer/winter duvets. Electric blankets are provided for the winter months, but there is, of course, central heating. Rooms are provided with hair dryer, heated rollers and bathrobes. Tea/Coffee trays have hot chocolate, fruit teas and biscuits. En suite bathrooms have shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, shaving gel and deoderant, as well as cleansing pads and other toiletries. The sitting room and garden are available.

Breakfasts is yoghurt, fruit juice, choice of many cereals, Suffolk dry cure bacon, local sausages, free range eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes (the establishments own when possible) and lots of toast and home made preserves, together with tea or coffee, or both!

Things to do: The B and B is ten minutes from Freeport Shopping Village and close by is Finchingfield, Spains Hall, High Barn Music and Wedding Venue, Thaxted, Saffron Walden, Braintree, Towerlands EquestrianCentre, the Fennes Estate, Leez Priory and Audley End House. Cambridge is 40 minutes and East London one hour. This is lovely walking countryside, and we have plenty of maps to loan. It is also well known as an artists paradise and in Saffron Walden you will find the Fry Art Gallery, where many of the pictures painted by artists who lived here in the 50's and 60's are displayed.
Further Information: There are many good restaurants and pubs in this area and we can tell you the best, as well as make bookings on your behalf. Local taxi's are few and far between, and need to be booked well in advance. We can let you have a list, or book on your behalf. We are happy to welcome guests with dogs. We ask that the dog has its own bed and does not bark at other guests. There is no charge.
