Built before 1879 for/by the Edmonstons, Ordale is a Grade C listed building, but don't worry we have all the modern conveniences, hot/cold water, WC, heating, double glazing etc. The rear annex to the house is believed to be the original dwelling and is supposed to date back about 300 years.
Ordale House is a family-run affair, offering simple, country living. To maintain the peaceful and rural atmosphere, we do not provide television sets in rooms - purely so you can get away from it all, and relax! However, if there is something you just cannot miss, we do have a TV in our comfortable residents' lounge - where you can sit in comfort before a peat fire and have a nice, warm cup of tea or coffee.
As a small bed and breakfast, we do not offer en-suite facilities, and you may have a short wait for the bathroom in the mornings, but breakfast (pre-selected the night before), can be served in your room or in the dining room at a time of your choosing. All rooms are provided with tea/
