Mermaid Quay Cardiff Bay

Right on the waterfront of Cardiff Bay is this purpose-built shopping and eating centre. Aimed very much at the upper end of the market, the Quay so far offers a designer clothing store and a number of smart restaurants including a Japanese tavern, Indian, Chinese and Mediterranean restaurants, an ice-cream cafe and a couple of very comfortable bars. More shops are due to open over the coming months. There is some free car-parking and a bus stop right outside giving easy access from the city centre. Opening times of individual venues vary. In particular, it is advisable to book in advance for the restaurants, although you can usually get a table for lunch without booking.
