The Castle Arms Hotel is a former 19th century coaching inn and is situated on the John O'Groats peninsula in the north coast village of Mey and only a short distance from the Queen Mother's Highland home, the Castle of Mey. Set in 6 acres of open parkland adjacent to the North of Scotland's principal tourist route it is ideally placed to cater for the holidaymaker.
The hotel is centrally heated and has 8 twin, double or family rooms, all of which have an en-suite shower or bathroom, colour television and tea making facilities. In addition the Pentland Suite offers a double and a family room with an en-suite bathroom.
The Pentland Lounge is a place to rest and take in the panoramic view of Dunnet Head and, across the Pentland Firth, the Orkney Islands. In the evenings you can relax in front of the feature Caithness flagstone fireplace and enjoy a wee dram or two from their wide choice of malt whiskies.
