Kim and I opened our Coffee House in October 2003 with the intention of becoming the best in the town within a year. Despite the arrival of several other establishments since late 2004, we believe we have succeeded.

All our food is freshly made to order (we use no bought-in or pre-prepared fillings or sauces) and is made from only the highest quality produce, locally sourced wherever possible. We are well-known throughout the area for our home made (by Kim) cakes and fruit scones (served with Cornish clotted cream and organic stawberry jam!).

We believe in using only the finest leaf tea as this gives a much cleaner taste to the final brew. After trying our leaf teas you will wonder how you ever put up with bags! We can offer over 40 different teas, from the ever-popular English Breakfast tea, through other favourites such as Earl Grey, Assam, Darjeeling and Ceylon to the more unusual varieties including Lapsang Souchong, Rose Congou, Oolong, Russian Caravan and White Tea.

We visited Kim's Coffee House on the May Day weekend and sat outside in beautiful sunshine overlooking the Jubilee garden. I popped in for lunch with three friends, ordered from the lunch menu. The food took 55mins to arrive!, the waiter (owner) made no apologies for the slow service, and topped it off by telling us "if you don't like it, don't come here again!" ... Read More
