1880 is the date of the original four private homes recently transformed into the fantastically opulent Bentley Hotel in Kensington.
It's also the name of the five-star restaurant that is Andrew Turner's new home, which you simply must visit. No really, you must. Rather than the usual three courses, 1880 invites you to graze your way through six to nine courses if you can squeeze them in, from the a la carte selection. Every dish is a delicious, fresh delight, the highlight of which is the seared Celtic sea scallops with a cauliflower and courgette sauce, sultanas and capers. Every mind-blowingly tasty mouthful confirms why it is Turner's signature dish.
