Chung Ying Garden

Birmingham enjoys a plethora of good Cantonese restaurants and Chung Ying Garden is one of the most established and the best. An old-style Chinese eaterie decorated in reds with wood detailing and statues of proprietary Gods, it attracts a Western crowd during the week, especially local business folk, but on Sunday the place is packed with Chinese diners enjoying the dim sum. What's cooking? The menu is gigantic, with nearly 380 dishes, including boiled rice, so if you ever had a favourite, it is here, as are some less familiar dishes.
