Ciros Pizza Pomodoro - Knightsbridge

Opened in 1978, Ciro's Knightsbridge is the original pizzeria that gave birth to an international chain of popular celebrity-themed Italian restaurants. Walls are covered in photos of the stars who come here, many with their arms round Ciro, the owner.

And the menu lists which pizza they like best. Sophia Loren's favourite? Napoli - mozzarella, tomato, olives, capers and anchovies .
