If you want the style and top quality food of the West End in West London -- you should try Cotto. This smart new restaurant owned by rising star James Kirby, previously head chef of Che, St James, has already received a seal of approval from Fay Maschler as well as many other plaudits. In a breezy spot on the corner of Blythe Road in Brook Green, the restaurant is decorated in whitewashed walls and stunning original artworks by Sean Bennett. When we were there we were greeted warmly by restaurant manager Antonio Enes and had one of the most delicious meals we can remember. What's cooking? Modern European cuisine. Particularly recommended: salt cod with parsley sauce, current caper & balsamic, red mullet with pequillo peppers, lentils & salsa verde, braised hare and roast saddle with spatzle & cabbage with crab apple puree.
