The Duke Of Wellington Inn is an interesting period property steeped in history, it was used as a recruiting post during the Napoleonic wars and expanded over the centuries to encompass a row of artisan's dwellings.
During the restoration work that carefully reinstated period features and modernised facilities, an iron plaque of the Duke of Wellington was unearthed, which now takes pride of place above the fireplace in the well stocked bar. The restaurant menu epitomises traditional home cooked British food, using locally sourced produce.
Each of the nine en suite rooms with central heating have been individually decorated in keeping with the character of the property. A selection of rooms are available to accommodate single, double, twin and family occupancy.
