The Bear Hotel

The Bear hotel was originally a coaching inn set in historic surroundings and located in the town centre. This charming Hotel has had some very famous guests; Queen Victoria, Churchill, Eisenhower and the Canadian Prime Minister, Jean Chretien have all stayed here.

The Hotel has 42 well equipped rooms all with ensuite facilities, colour TV and tea/coffee making tray. The cosy public bar and lounge, with open fires, both with good fresh bar food allowing two great places to relax.
