When you're weary of the rat race and yearn for quiet, beauty, and, incidentally, a great meal, then Homewood Park is where you should head. Set in a lovely Georgian country house overlooking ten acres of idyllic gardens, Homewood Park is welcoming, sophisticated but unassuming, and altogether the perfect antidote to stress. The contemporary British cuisine has won many accolades, with adventurous dishes like braised Bourgogne snails with crepes, spinach and basil noodles, and loin of West Country lamb with aubergine, tomato and lightly smoked haricot blanc sauce. The Discovery menu is a treat. Caring, attentive sevice.Average price - £45 (64)
