Marque Central is a very classy blonde, elegant, understated, with cultural nous, it's located between The Lyceum theatre and Usher Hall. The first floor dining room has bags of style, pale wood, creamy walls, white table linens. Some al fresco dining is available, too.
The cooking is modern Scottish with lots of the Mediterranean in the mix, and is ambitious and full of flavour and texture. Dishes include starter of duck spring rolls with tomato and chilli jam, main course of roast fillet of beef with rosti potato, greens, mushrooms, and roast onion crostini, and dessert of one of the best crème brulees you will ever taste. Service is very good and the choice of wines includes blockbusters as well as great choices reasonably priced. Pre- and post-theatre menus available, too.
