Mint Leaf Café is somewhat a haven of tranquility in an otherwise bustling area of Brighton. Hanging baskets and rustic bare wooden tables and floorboards give it a fresh almost summery air. This down-to-earthness is reflected on the walls where large chalk boards list appealing and seasonal Modern European mezze, mains and specials at decent prices. There are vegan as well as vegetarian options (the vegan cake is lovely). Relaxed by day, the place glams up a little at night when people of all ages and backgrounds come to enjoy the twice-weekly mixed bag of live music performances from pianists, barbershop singers, ska artists... Nice staff.
