David Philpott is the chef/patron of this wonderful new Italian restaurant in Golders Green, and he's been attracting hordes of true gastronomes here with his deft way with modern Italian dishes. The decor manages to be both sophisticated and relaxed, with modern art prints, loads of mirrors and marble and a colour scheme reminiscent of the king of hearts. The lunch menu changes weekly, the dinner menu changes monthly. Be ready to try Philpott's latest creations. Do have the ribeye steak with gorgonzola mash and barolo sauce if it's on. Dishes might also include roast tomato soup with pesto, and spaghetti with anchovies, lemon, olive oil and garlic. If you love Italian cuisine, and who doesn't, this is a place to cherish.Average price - £28 (42 EUR)
