A funky, trendy spot that attracts an eclectic crowd, 11 Tavistock Place bends over backwards to ensure your enjoyment. The restaurant is spacious and modern, with wooden floors and interesting wooden carvings, black and white photographs and artwork everywhere. On two levels, the cafe is above, and the actual restaurant downstairs, with a new sun garden open on fair days.
The menu is as eclectic as the clientele, featuring starters like Szechuan cured beef with crisp rice noodles and ginger, chilli and lime dressing, or eggs benedict with smoked haddock. Mains include seared chicken breast on crushed parmesan potatoes, and whole roasted pink bream with chilli and banana salsa. Truly scrumptious desserts. Good lunch and early evening specials.
