When Graeme Pacitti opened The Restaurant in West Edinburgh, he didn't move far from Murrayfield where he had been responsible for catering for the Scottish Rugby Union. Here, he has created a smart and relaxed restaurant in which to enjoy his very creative world fusion cuisine.
The Murrayfield shopfront restaurant has wooden floors, white linen, classic bentwood cafe chairs, exposed brick, and original art by Scottish artists. The straight-talking menu includes starter of Scotland's finest haggis with whisky cream sauce, and main course of medallions of peppered venison coated with blueberry and thyme sauce. The welcome is warm, the ambience unhurried. Interesting independently-supplied wine list.
