The Sheraton Skyline at Heathrow, in which Aldende finds its home, serves a sophisticated, international clientele, and Aldende is generally a hit with all nationalities. It is a buzzy, modern restaurant featuring an eclectically interational menu - do we sense a theme developing here? The courses are divided into small and larger, rather than starters and mains. Considering that guests are bound to be suffering six kinds of jetlag, this elasticity of service is most welcome. It's a great place to do business, make friendly farewells before putting someone on a plane, or for falling into for some grownup relief after a day at Legoland. The menu features small courses like sauteed scallops with pea risotto, and Serrano ham and mash, larger courses include roast pork belly on apple, artichoke and veg hash, and game pie with rich gravy, roasted chestnut and potato and turnips cooked in cream. The Sky Bar has quickly become one of West London's favorite venues. Open Monday to Saturday 5pm - 1am and Sunday from 3pm - 11pm, it is the ideal place to unwind, sip your favourite cocktails, and immerse yourself in the aquatic surroundings.
