A smart, modern restaurant in a very useful part of Earls Court, Slice offers modern British cooking in attractive surroundings. There are favourites galore on the menu, like prawn cocktail, steak with deep-fried mushrooms and onion rings, and profiteroles, but you'll also find more exotic offerings, like nachos, chicken with ginger and lemongrass, and triple chocolate riot. It's a relaxing, convivial atmosphere, perfect for after work with mates. The short wine list is nicely international and reasonably priced, and the service is fleet and friendly.
