A full renovation has restored the Woodlands Hotel to all its luxurious original 18 th century glory, set in large landscaped grounds on the outskirts of Leeds. It has 17 rooms and a 70-seat restaurant made up of three elegant dining spaces.
Each of the Bentley Rooms has high ceilings, original Victorian cornices and fireplaces, wooden floors, dark leather dining chairs and bright white walls. And all overlook beautiful gardens.
The modern British a la carte menu focuses on regional, seasonal produce such as lamb shank and duck. It changes monthly, but there are always dishes from the grill. Exemplary wine list and service. Live jazz on Fridays. The crowd? Mainly wealthy 30+something locals and businessmen.
