Aphrodites Lodge dates back to the turn of the century and was built by a renowned local builder for a wealthy local Lake District businessman.

The two acres of gardens were expertly laid out by a famous landscape gardener, and are especially beautiful around March when the array of rhododendrons come into full bloom.

Some of the suites feature saunas, steam rooms or hot tubs, and all of the guest bedrooms offer high quality wide screen TVs with sky channels, and DVD and CD players.
