Since its opening a couple of years ago, chef Alexis Gauthier has been luring clued-in diners to a quiet Pimlico side street to revel in absolutely top-notch modern French cuisine. Roussillon's dining room, with its vibrant yellows, will remind you of your last trip to Provence, and the atmosphere is relaxed and completely unstuffy. The menu is presented in three sections: The Garden, The Sea, The Land, and care has been taken with the earth-friendliness of the ingredients, e.g. line-caught fish, biodynamic lamb. Signature dishes include grilled pigeon with fondant potatoes and foie gras, and pot-roasted Blue Bembridge Lobster with warm Jersey potatoes and sauteed girolles. Every care is taken to know diners personally. The overall effect is one of pure enjoyment."This elegant, if rather fussy-looking, restaurant is home to talented French chef Alexis Gauthier, a passionate advocate of quality British ingredients. His "garden menu" has some of the most innovative vegetarian dishes. - © Evening Standard 2003 / Charles Campion" - Critic reviewAverage price - £44 to £50 (€72+)Orange Brewery 37 Pimlico Road London SW1 Why not come along and enjoy the London bar which is purely decorated in wood.
